Abstract:During the first overhaul interval of an aeroengine, a guaranteed life is first given, and then the guaranteed life is gradually
extended based on comprehensive assessments of safety, reliability, and economy, ultimately reaching the life goal of the first overhaul
interval. In order to analyze the change of reliability level during the first overhaul interval, the change of failure rate is taken as the starting
point to provide suggestions for the range of guaranteed life. By determining the failure collection information table, the engine-relevant
failures that occurred during the first overhaul interval were analyzed, and the failure information was screened according to specified
criteria. The maximum normed residual method was used to preprocess the sample data, and after confirming no abnormal data, the correla?
tion coefficient optimization method based on the least squares principle was used for Weibull distribution fitting, obtaining the probability
density function curve, failure rate function curve, and reliability function curve during the first overhaul interval. Based on the shape
parameters, different failure types (increasing, constant, decreasing) were determined, and the recommended range for the guaranteed life
was given. The results show that the Weibull distribution fitting method can visually observe the trend of failure rate during the first
overhaul interval, and provide a reference for selecting different engine life extension strategies according to reliability indicators. |
