Abstract:Since the key issues associated with the construction and operation of China's general-purpose Flying Test Beds (FTBs)
are still unclear, FTB-related research was conducted. The concept and the function of general-purpose FTBs are introduced. The works
and methods for constructing a typical aeroengine FTB in foreign countries are sorted out, the FTB schemes, including the selection of
engine mounting location, aerodynamic simulation evaluation, bleed air, hydraulic and electric power load simulation system structure, fire
extinguishing system, fuel system, and instrumentation system, are summarized. The key issues that need close attention in the construction
and operation of a general-purpose FTB are analyzed: test object and usage scenario planning, requirements definition and decomposition,
detailed design and aircraft/engine integration coordination, system development integration and verification, configuration management,
personnel qualification requirements, airworthiness assessment, etc. Based on foreign FTB construction experiences and future engine flight
test requirements, the future development trends of general-purpose FTBs are analyzed, the key issues and key points that need special
attention in the construction and use of China's FTBs are given, providing references for the building, operation, and maintenance of
China's future general-purpose FTBs. |
