Abstract:In order to meet the urgent needs of numerical simulation of aero-engine sand ingestion test, the sand ingestion demand and numerical simulation theory are elaborated in detail, a set of sand ingestion test equipment is designed, and the engine ground sand ingestion process and the influence of the baffle angle of the sandblasting nozzle on the flow field at the engine inlet entrance are analyzed. The results show that the sand particles are easily affected by the airflow characteristics near the engine inlet section and are entrained to the center; the sand particles in the flow field will be stratified according to the particle size during the radial diffusion process; the particle size distribution of the cross-section of the engine inlet entrance is independent of the concentration distribution; as the baffle angle increases, the uniformity of the sand particle concentration distribution at the engine inlet entrance section increases, among which the maximum uniformity is 271% higher than the minimum uniformity. The numerical simulation results verify that this method can determine the parameters of the sandblasting equipment on demand, improve the uniformity of the sandblasting to a certain extent, and the calculation accuracy meets the engineering requirements, which improves the numerical simulation calculation system of the sand ingestion test.
