Abstract:In response to the requirements of bird ingestion verification of Chinese military high bypass ratio turbofan engines,starting
from the investigation of the evolution process,content,and application of bird ingestion requirements from airworthiness regulations of
civil aeroengines and general specifications of military engines in the United States,Europe,Russia,and China,the differences in the
contents and connotations of bird ingestion requirements for military and civil aircraft engines are compared and analyzed. By analyzing the
development of the aeroengine bird ingestion requirements and their implementations,the relationship between the evolution of bird inges-
tion requirements and engine development technology is studied,and some suggestions for bird ingestion verification of high bypass ratio
engines independently developed by China are put forward. The results show that the upgrades of bird ingestion requirements were based
on higher safety requirements,and can be implemented and promulgated with the improvement of aeroengine design technology;at the
same time,the upgrades of bird ingestion requirements also guide the development of the next generation of engines,and the two comple-
ment each other and spiral up;the specific parameters of bird ingestion requirements are gradually unified and become more stringent. Ac-
cording to the evolution and development characteristics of China's airworthiness regulations and general specifications for bird ingestion,
and combined with the current status of China's military high bypass ratio turbofan engine development technology,it is suggested that the
high bypass ratio engines independently developed by China should be verified according to the parameters required by FAR 33.77,and
ultimately achieve consistency with current bird ingestion requirements relying on the advancement of engine technology. |
